Cinematic Aspects of On the Waterfront
As I watch this movie I think of where I live, Hoboken. It was excessively filmed for 36 years on the Hoboken waterfront. This movie is familiar for its iconic performances and its clear and crump direct imagery. This film is excessively iconic because of its dictiones such as terrys I coulda been a contenda livery as well as Father Barrys speech virtually standing up for what is right. This movie is built mostly on the monologues which allow the lecture to do all of the work. The cinematography is stunning, he uses the birds eye views on the docks at night, veiled in the shadows, the streets argon quite and empty apart from the gangsters doing their unlawfully work. However, Terrys words are familiar; they are that words that hes been using end-to-end the movie: he didnt turn in they killed him, he cannot talk about it, and he needs to intuitive feeling out for himself. While Terry speaks these words, Kazan keeps the focus on the faces of the actors as they silently communicate their curse and heartbreak. Kazan also emphasizes how empty Terrys words are, how meaningless they are to Edie as she is in express grief.\nThe lig...
